- Types of Herbal Remedies: Tinctures, Capsules, Creams, Salves, Powders – Students cut own herbs in the garden & make tinctures & syrups during class practical
- Dosage and Formulation Criteria
- Class Practical: Herbal Tincture Preparations, making of Capsules and Creams
- Students to compile a patient information file on various disorders and herbs applicable for treatment
- Student Practical: Herbal Formulations for various disorders.
- Diseases – herbal formulations – discussing 50 diseases / assignments
- Field trips for practical experience – usually 3 days in the veld
- The course is offered 4 days (6 modules), with loads of homework, research and practical. Most of the herbs are on the premises so that students can identify plants.
- At the end of the course, students will have a full practice file compiled for patient info.
